Notes thus far:


  • City still has some tourism. Was a rail hub in western expansion of USA. Nearby mountains have ski resorts. Handful of abandoned mining towns for the history buffs/ghost hunters
  • Illegal drugs are quite popular in Utah.
  • Dying heavy industry, legacy from the city's mining roots. City govt and undesirable elements are seeking new avenue for economic growth. City pushing high tech, software. Mob/crime element pushing for casinos
